• About

ZANNI (Ẓ) is a project by Carlo Zanni. ZANNI (Ẓ) is a cryptocurrency named after the artist and it is based on an ERC-20 token, the cryptocoin that's built atop Ethereum – the smart contracts platform powered by Ether.
In this project the artwork, its price and the artist collapse one into each other, ready to be traded and contemplated as numbers on a screen: the art market at its peak.

  • Where is the artwork?

The cryptocurrency in itself is the artwork.

  • How can I see the artwork?

You first need to buy it, then you can contemplate it opening your wallet. With MetaMask (see below) it will look something like this.

  • What do I need to buy ZANNI (Ẓ) ?

To buy ZANNI (Ẓ) you first need Ethers (the coin of the Ethereum network). To buy Ethers, you first need a digital wallet. Below is a short guide using MetaMask for Chrome and Coinbase (of course you can buy ETH also from other cryptocurrency exchanges.)

  • How to use MetaMask for Chrome browser

MetaMask is an Ethereum extension for your browser. It connects you to Ethereum applications (called dApps) easily and securely. MetaMask is also a digital wallet: you can store digital currencies in it and use it to buy…an art project for instance! To get started, all you need to do is install a Chrome extension. This three minute guide will show you how to do that.

  • How to buy ETH using MetaMask + Coinbase (to then buy ZANNI)

This text will help you purchase ETH ( Ethereum's crypto-currency ) using MetaMask and Coinbase. If you didn't already install MetaMask, this article will help you do that. Come back to this page when you're all set. You'll see that the process takes very little time and sets you up for the rest of your Ethereum journey. Done installing MetaMask? OK, so now...

  • How to buy ZANNI (Ẓ)

To purchase ZANNI (Ẓ), all you will need to do is to send a transaction to the smart contract listed in the homepage (0xd6608E61494113Cc09E37323F797Ea825a6271b1), with the amount of ETH you want to contribute. In order to do so, just open MetaMask and click "Send", and paste in the smart contract address. Set the value equal to the amount of ETH you want to send. One last step is to add the token to your MetaMask, so you can see your balance.

Still from MetaMask: click "Add Token", and paste in the following information:

    Address: 0xd6608E61494113Cc09E37323F797Ea825a6271b1
    Decimals: 18
    Symbol: ZANNI

Please check this video tutorial (rememebr to switch to Ethereum main network)

  • How many ZANNI (Ẓ) are on the market?

1000 ZANNI (Ẓ) are available for purchase.

  • What's the value of the ZANNI (Ẓ) ?

The price fluctuates depending on the Ether value. 1 Ether = 10 ZANNI. Please check the homepage for the current updated value.

  • Can I buy less than 1 ZANNI ? (Ẓ) ?

Yes, ZANNI (Ẓ) can be split (and purchased) in fractions up to 18 decimals. You can even buy the equivalent of 1 $ or 1 € or even less but please keep in mind that the fee (gas) to process the transaction on the Ethereum blockchain could be slightly higher. So it means that probably if you buy such a low amount of ZANNI (Ẓ) you might end in spending more for the transaction fees than for the ZANNI (Ẓ).

  • Can I trade the ZANNI (Ẓ) I own on an Exchange ?

Yes you can trade the ZANNI (Ẓ) you own on a Decentralized Exchange (DEX) like EtherDelta for instance. Here is a short guide.
